Captcha not showing all characters?

I notice that a little over 50% of the time the captcha shown will have only 2 or 3 chars.

I've set it to be minimum 4 maximum 5.
I've set it to be minimum 6 maximum 6.

Etc.

But I still get +50% captchas that only have 2 or 3 characters. Any idea why this would be? I also tried to narrow things down by using only one font during testing but the results are the same. Is the character "space" being used? If so, how do I not allow it to use "space"?

Thanks!

Re: Captcha not showing all characters?

I figured it out. The zip included a file named .DSStore inside the fonts folder. Removed that and all issues went away on the contact form. :)

Re: Captcha not showing all characters?

Just a note for others thinking about buying this script. It's a steal at 7 euros.

This form/contact script, which includes file attachment ability, and captcha is without a doubt the cheapest and easiest to use of all the dozens I've used / tried / implemented / bought / thrown money away on. And Lukas was kind enough to send me a PHP 4.x version when the server I wanted to try this on wasn't 5.x.

It could use an easier method to deal with the css layout, but anyone with a bit of understanding of php will be able to alter the source and make things appear the way they want. I'm sure some time down the road you'll split it up a bit and include a formpro_styles.css for the code wary. (Or in my case lazy...) :)

You should submit this to hotscripts (dot com) so others can benefit from such a superbly done little script at such a great price.

Thanks again.

Re: Captcha not showing all characters?

I can't find it with a search using "form file attach" or "form with captcha" or "form captcha file attach".  (Although I did give it a 5 star rating and a review after reading your reply and then clicking on the vote gadget on the FormPro page.)

Only reason I found it here was I figured "I should check with PlanetLuc to see if he has something as easy to use as MyGallery."

Lo and behold it was so. :-)

Re: Captcha not showing all characters?

you might be right - i probably didn't provide the best description in order to be found there by those keywords...

Re: Captcha not showing all characters?

When I type the CAPTCHA in it just keeps generating a new one? Can I turn CAPTCHA Off?
